The countdown begins for Jason Derulo’s first ever show in Manila and it is sure to be an unforgettable concert party. Since his debut in the American music scene in 2009, Jason Derulo has solidified a reputation as one of the music industry’s certified hit makers.

With only 4 major studio albums, Derulo already has an extraordinary record of over 11 Top Ten songs and 4 Number One singles. On May 27th at the Mall of Asia Arena, Jason Derulo hits Manila with his signature dance anthems, unquestionable stage persona and raw talent.

Unknown to many, Jason Derulo was already a known name in the music industry prior his debut, as one of music’s most talented young songwriters. Having written for Diddy, Lil Wayne and Cassie he tuned his songwriting success and experience into becoming a solo artist when he released his first top 10 single “Whatcha Say” which creatively sampled Imogen Heap’s “Hide and Seek.”

Derulo quickly followed up the success of “Whatcha Say” with “In My Head” a party favorite that started him on the road of superstardom. In 2010, he released his self-titled debut album, and in just six years Derulo has sold over 50 million singles worldwide, reached two billion views on YouTube and 1 billion plays on Spotify.

His other hits include “Want to Want Me,” "Ridin' Solo," "Don't Wanna Go Home" and "It Girl.”  In 2014 Jason Derulo had another unstoppable year with his album “Talk Dirty” that produced multiple hits like “The Other Side,” “Talk Dirty feat. 2 Chainz”, “Marry Me,” “Wiggle feat. Snoop Dogg”, and “Trumpets.”

2014 established Derulo as a dominant force in the music industry and this year he follows it up with his latest studio album “Everything is 4” which features yet another record breaking hit. Its first single “Want To Want Me”, became the most added track in the history of Top 40 radio, and the largest Top 40 U.S. radio launch to date. Other notable hits include “Try Me” (feat. Jennifer Lopez and Matoma), and “Get Ugly.”

Rachet and Clank Movie: Mischief and Mayhem That’s Out of this World

Ratchet the Lombax and Clank the robot get ready to kick some asteroid in the animated movie adaptation of their popular Playstation game.

The plot stays true to the premise of the action-packed game series, in which players are tasked to thwart Supreme Executive Chairman Drek (Paul Giammati), who plans to destroy the galaxy.

Ratchet (voiced by James Arnold Taylor) had always wanted to be a Galaxy Ranger, idolizing Captain Qwark (Jim Ward). The squad feels that he does not fit in, though, and is quickly taken off the force. This has not dampened his willingness to help others. This was what led him to rescue Clank (David Kaye), a robot on a mission to deliver an important message about the secret weapon that Drek is using to blow up planets.

With his innate talent for mechanics, Ratchet fixes up his new friend and together with Cora (Bella Thorne), they go into enemy territory to save the galaxy. Along the way, Ratchet and Clank learn valuable lessons about heroism, friendship and discovering one's own identity.

The movie is made to delight young and old fans of the gameand those who are into crisp, fast-paced animation movies. The dialogue stays sharp with the repartee between the characters staying true to the game, due to the fact that the series creators Insomniac Games helped with the film's production, screenplay, character development and animation. Several cast members from the games reprised their respective voice roles, and assets from the video games were utilized in the film.

Other actors who lent their voices for the characters include Sylvester Stallone, John Goodman and Rosario Dawson. The film was produced at Rainmaker Entertainment's Vancouver studio in Canada, and its executive producer is Michael Hefferon, President of Rainmaker Entertainment was able to talk about the project on the Playstation blog.

“One of the biggest questions we've gotten in the last few years is 'When are you going to make a Ratchet & Clank movie?' The truth is, we've wanted to do a movie for a long time! Ratchet & Clank's action, humor and galaxy-spanning adventures have really been the basis for a fantastic game series, and we think it would translate perfectly to the big screen.”

The outer space buddy comedy is set to show in Philippine theaters on May 26, 2016 and is exclusively distributed by Octoarts Films International.

Herbalife Nutrition: Filipino Workers’ Sedentary Lifestyle could lead To Obesity

Herbalife’s Nutrition at Work Survey Reveals Majority of Philippines’ Workforce Lead Largely Sedentary Lifestyles, Putting them at Risk of Obesity

Fifth Herbalife Asia-Pacific Wellness Tour seeks to address health issues associated with sedentary lifestyles, and deepen practical understanding on the benefits of a healthy, active life

PHILIPPINES,April 25,2016 – Herbalife, a global nutrition company, has released the findings of the new Nutrition At Work Survey, which revealed that the majority of Philippines’ workforce leads largely sedentary lifestyles, putting them at risk of obesity. The Survey1, which was designed to understand the lifestyle habits and attitudes of Asia Pacific’s modern workforce, was conducted in March with 5,500 full-time workers in 11 Asia-Pacific markets, including 500 workers from the Philippines.

According to the survey findings, almost nine out of 10 (85%) workers in the Philippines spend at least six hours a day sitting at their desk, with 52% of its workforce eating lunch at their work desk two to five times per week. The survey also revealed that majority of Philippines’ workforce (86%) exercise less than three times per week, with five out of 10 getting less than 30 minutes of physical activity a day at their workplace. This suggests a significantly worrying trend locally, on the back of rising obesity rates recorded in recent years.

Nevertheless, the risk of obesity could be averted if workers in the Philippines decide to take control over their own nutritional intake and exercise regimen.Close to eight out of 10 workers (75%) affirmed that they strive to live a healthy, active life, however, the majority of them noted that they find it difficult to stay active during workdays.

                      'The Herbal Nutrition at Work'
“With a majority of Philippines’ workforce leading largely sedentary lifestyles, our mission as a global nutrition company is to help people in the Philippines take practical steps towards leading healthy, active lives. By inculcating positive nutrition and active lifestyle habits to people in the Philippines, we hope that this will, over time, help reduce obesity risks and lead to positive improvements to the well-being of our people,” said Mr. Rosalio Valenzuela, General Manager of Herbalife Philippines.
