Allianz Conquer Challenge Dares You to Reach the Impossible

When you think about exciting games, the kind that keeps your heart racing and adrenalin pumping, obstacle course will naturally come into mind. Today, the exciting obstacle course race will be elevated into a higher level, wherein competitive athletes can show strength of endurance through various courses in three major races in the upcoming ALLIANZ CONQUER set to happen next month.

The first of its kind, Allianz PNB Life Insurance together with Conquer Challenge Philippines will work side by side in promoting obstacle course race (OCR) which is a growing sporting event in the region. With the upcoming Allianz Conquer race events, OCR will definitely become the ultimate fun and challenging sports that will soon be recognized internationally.

The first race for Allianz Conquer is slated on May 13 at the Vermosa in Daang Hari, Imus, Cavite. Currently with over 500 registered entries, Conquer Challenge president Rob Afzelius said that they could reach the 1,000 mark by next month. Tentative schedules for race 2 and 3 are set to happen around August and December.

At the recent media launch of Allianz Conquer held last April 6, Rob Afzelius stated “I believe that this is an evolution of adventure racing and other sports, with something higher and acceptable,”

“Obstacle Race Course is a sport that has started to gather a strong following in the Philippines. We believe this sport can inspire Filipinos to take a new challenge and embrace it without fear,” said Allianz PNB Life CEO Alexander Grenz in yesterday’s media launch.

The challenging sport, which is being pushed for inclusion in next year’s Southeast Asian Games, is the latest in Philippines to be supported by Allianz.

“It’s another step we’re taking here in Philippines. Last year, we started our National Youth Futsal Cup and selected players for the Allianz Junior Football Camp in Bali and later to Munich, which was a great success and very well received. And now, we’re very happy to do the same for Conquer Challenge,” said Alexander Grenz.

Participants can join the elite division which is the Conquer Challenge Power Race that comes with 7 KM run and 20 obstacles race.

The open category is great for beginners with 3KM stretch featuring 12 obstacles. Kids as young as 7 years old racing through a 7 KM stretch that has at least 7 types of obstacles.

The May 13 obstacle course race is the highlight of the company’s “Day of Courage” for Allianz PNB. On the same day, the Philippine Heart Association Run at SM By the Bay in SM MOA and the Bayanihan Walk in Singapore for Pinoy OFWs are scheduled to take place.
