The Holiday season is a perfect
time to celebrate and spread some cheers to everyone. The Ermita-Malate
Business Owners Association or EMBOA took advantage of this festive season and
hosted a special event called “Maligayang Pasko, Handog Pasasalamat ng EMBOA”
(Merry Christmas: A Thanksgiving by EMBOA which I am very honored to witness.
Held last December 17 at Remedios
Circle in Malate, the said event made some 500 children very happy. Invited
guests included Manila Mayor Erap Estrada and Michelle Pe which is the current
president of EMBOA.
EMBOA has prepared gift bags for
the selected children from various Barangays which were later distributed
during the event. But the highlights of the festivities are the performances of
students from various schools in Manila which made this event truly memorable.
During the celebration EMBOA’s
president Michelle Pe explained that EMBOA is very grateful for the support
that they get from various sectors of the community including the local
government and as a way of expressing gratitude they hosted the Handog Pasasalamat
event wherein some 500 lucky children received gifts just in time for Christmas.
Right after the celebration at the
Remedios Circle invited media bloggers including myself were invited to take a
grand tour of the Ermita Malate area. An EMBOA representative accompanied us
and acted as our guide during the entire Manila tour.
We visited several major hotels and
iconic places in the Ermita Malate area. These are just a few of EMBOA’s members
who are representing business establishments among the 130 businesses who are
active members of the organization. Here are the Ermita Malate places that we
visited:
City Garden Hotel Manila
City Garden Hotel has an amazing customer service team that is always ready to help. The rooms are much spacious with excellent floor plan layout great for guests that intend to stay longer. City Garden Ermita hotel suites provide spaces for dining, cooking and living area. Hallways are spacious with rooms fitted with LED large screen TV while some rooms have balconies.

Ibarra’s is quite known for the
best venue place for lavish celebrations such as debuts and weddings. But what
makes this place extra special is the efficient customer care that is very
evident from the table setting to sophisticated menus that they offer. Being a
pioneer in events place Ibarra’s Malate has perfected the art of classy
celebrations. The exceptional attention to details is notable with every event
held in Ibarra’s Garden.
Lotus Garden Hotel Manila
Lotus Garden Hotel is a nice spot when those planning to stay within the Ermita Malate area. Rooms are well appointed with amenities that provide home-style comfort. There is an instant air of coziness around this Ermita hotel since the staff are very accommodating. Generally, the entire Lotus Garden Hotel is clean and peaceful which can make guest feel at home and secure. Prices for this hotel are super affordable too.

Pension House
Mabini Pension House is situated within
an old building that evokes rustic and nostalgia of the bygone era. Hotel room
type has several options with some rooms fitted with electric fans while others
have its own bathroom and air-conditioning unit. This is one of the most
affordable hotels in Manila that is perfect for expats, budget travelers and
transient tourists.
